Over the past year, I have made significant strides in personal and professional growth, and I am committed to continuing this journey of self-improvement. Hardships
I haven’t always been this way. Between 2022 and 2023, I found myself at a low point in my life. In a matter of months, I gained 40 pounds, struggled academically, and felt aimless with no clear direction. I could sense myself sinking into a place I didn’t want to be, and the more I ignored it, the deeper I fell. It was then that I realized something crucial: if I didn’t take action soon, I might never recover.
I finally made the decision to dedicate myself to learning how to program, and the progress I’ve made so far has been incredible. Thanks to resources like The Odin Project, combined with my schoolwork and a job in an IT department, I’ve been able to consistently improve and grow in my skills.

One day, I reached a breaking point and decided enough was enough. I made a firm commitment to improve my academics, physical health, and mental well-being. The hardships I faced during that time have shaped me into the person I am today, fueling a motivation to constantly better myself in ways I never thought possible. It’s because of this transformation that I began taking everything I do more seriously, cutting out several vices that once defined my daily routine.
As I continued on this journey of self-improvement, I began to see the small changes adding up, building momentum over time. Each success, no matter how minor, reinforced my belief in my ability to create meaningful change. I started setting clear goals, not just for my studies or health, but for my overall life direction.

What Now
Today, I’m 50 pounds lighter, studying abroad in Spain, and dedicating time each day outside of school to studying and coding in order to sharpen my skills. My outlook on life has never been brighter, and I’m actively working toward my dream of becoming a Software Engineer. With every passing day, I feel more confident in my abilities, knowing that the hard work and dedication I’ve put in are bringing me closer to the future I’ve always envisioned.
Looking back, I can hardly recognize the person I once was. The journey hasn’t been easy, but every challenge has contributed to my growth and resilience. I've learned that true transformation comes not from waiting for circumstances to change, but from taking proactive steps, no matter how small, to shape the life you want. I’m no longer afraid of setbacks or failures—they’re simply opportunities to learn and improve. This mindset has become the foundation of everything I do, and it drives me to keep pushing forward, even when the road ahead seems uncertain.
